STERLING SILVER PAUA SHELL EARRINGS WITH VINTAGE GLASS

WEARABLE OCEAN HUES
What sets pāua apart from every other shell is the depth of its iridescence. The color isn't painted on the surface. It lives within the shell, so it seems to shift and deepen as the light moves across it. The colors range from deep blue to green, with flashes of violet. Found only in the cold waters off New Zealand, pāua is carefully protected and collected only by hand. The shells in Leaf & Light jewelry were hand-chosen 15 to 20 years ago for that iridescence and for their shape, and have been left untouched ever since, never dyed, color-enhanced, laminated, veneered, or coated in resin. Each is one-of-a-kind, and no two pieces are ever alike.

Each pair also includes vintage Czech glass, with a richness that newer glass rarely has. The beads have a soft luster and a fire-polished surface, in sea glass green, dusky purple, and touches of muted blue. Set beside the pāua, they add a quiet glimmer. Crafted with .925 sterling silver.
